Displays bezels were cut. More than 20 gauges were fabricated using the Taig mill and over a 100 keyboard keys cut and engraved. It has been an almost overwhelming task.
Taig has just released a ballscrew option for the mill. The ballscrews are precision matched with the ball bearings resulting in nearly zero backlash and low friction operation. As the ballscrew mills have about half of the drive reduction as the leadscrew version we are using 276oz in motors which are a better match for the motion profile.
